You can submit up to 3 entries in each media type (‘print’ and ‘digital image’) for each competition. The subject matter and layout is entirely your choice, but here are a few guidelines to keep you on the right track…

Pictorial - ‘The Seasons’ (entries by 5th October)
‘Any photograph which the author would place on a wall for public viewing’. The subject could be just about anything but often includes landscapes, picturesque scenes and abstract images, this year the theme is ‘The Seasons’.

Sport and Photo-Journalism (entries by 2nd November)
Photo-journalism - any image that could be used as an informative picture in a journal publication as a fair and accurate representation of an event. Sport - any image depicting sport.

Portrait (entries by 23rd November)
The capture of the likeness of a person or small group of people in which the face or expression is dominant. Can include animal portraiture.

Presidents Cup - ‘Christmas Time’ (entries by 11th Jan)
Be as creative and imaginative as you like - there are no limitations for this competition within the ‘Christmas Time’ theme.

Still Life (entries by 8th February)
The depiction of inanimate subject matter, most typically a small grouping of objects that are either man-made or ‘natural’, often in a studio environment.

Natural History (entries by 1st March)
Images should depict untamed animals and/or uncultivated plants in a natural habitat. Entries should be accurately titled.
